❄ One final winter post before we bring on spring! Our Mount Baker Outdoor Ed students just returned from an incredible winter camp experience at Stagleap Provincial Park. Students developed all kinds of winter skills including, snowshoeing, meal prep and cooking, navigation and route planning, avalanche safety and shelter building. MBSS teacher Leigh Cormier told us: "I am so proud of the students and the effort they put in to preparing for our winter camp and making the most of their experience! I was impressed throughout the experience with the positive, open minded and resilient attitudes. We had pulses of snow and sun throughout the trip, which kept things interesting! Students cooked some beautiful meals, built an amazing kitchen and fire circle, and slept in various shelters! I am looking forward to transitioning to spring activities, including orienteering, climbing, biking and gardening, just to name a few." Thanks for your great leadership, Ms. Cormier! #rmisp #highschoolincanada #highschoolexchangeyear #intercambio #ensinomedio #auslandsschuljahr #schüleraustausch #schuljahrimausland #scolaritéaucanada #AñoAcadémicoEnCanadá #IntercambioCultural
