I was born and raised in Austria where I studied translation. My passion for foreign languages, adventure and exploration led me to many beautiful places across Europe, and South and North America—one of them being Ecuador, where I met my husband, Erik. 

In 2010, we immigrated from Austria to Vancouver, BC seeking new horizons, and during a road trip through the Kootenay region in 2022, we fell in love with Kimberley and made yet another big move. We feel privileged to call this charming region our home and we have been enjoying its lovely people and outdoor wonders ever since. You can usually find us somewhere in nature—hiking, biking, running, and paddle boarding or skiing/ski touring in the winter.

I am excited to start working as the Homestay Coordinator for Kimberley and to help young international students make their experience abroad truly memorable. Cultural exchange opens the doors to new worlds, filled with connection, adventure, and endless possibilities.
